Who is Pickering In Business?
Pickering In Business is a group of Pickering businesses that have joined together to promote Pickering and any business within it, it is owned by ALL the members including this website.
Who can join Pickering In Business?
Any business within the boundary of Pickering is welcome to join.
How much does it cost?
The annual fee is £50 payable on the 1st of April
What if I join after the 1st of April?
You can join at any time and pay a pro-rata amount, currently £4 a month.
What are the benefits to membership?
As a member you get a full page on this site with images and contact details plus a web link, any excess money is used to promote business in Pickering e.g. Tour de Yorkshire, Christmas Lights, Late accommodation page etc.
Do you hold meetings?
Yes, we have a meeting every first Tuesday in the month at 6pm, they last for one hour.
Where are the meetings?
Usually at the Black Swan, but this may vary, our regular newsletter details this.
Do I have to attend meetings to be a member?
No, obviously we would love to see you at a meeting but it is NOT required for membership.
I see you have some local councillors on the group, are you political?
No, any council members are there because they run a business in the town. We are NON political and only exist to promote Pickering and the businesses in it.
Can I get the newsletter as a non-member?
Yes, just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am not sure, can I speak to a member?
Yes, please call in at Television House to see Matt or Trailblazer Outdoors to see Neil, we would love to chat to you.
That is all great, how do I join?
Take the membership fee to Matt at Television House and then send all your details to the email@example.com email address. We need: brief bio (200 words, ish), contact details, email address, web address, photos (up to 4).
